Transcarpathian musical is the best (PHOTOS)

On Thursday, October 10, there was the solemn closing ceremony of the XIV International Festival of Puppet Theaters "Interlialka – 2013", the press service of the Regional State Administration reported. Leading directors, actors, artists, scenographers not only from Ukraine, but also from Bulgaria, Poland and Slovakia participated in the festival.

 Having reviewed the performances of the festival participants, the jury announced the results: the "Best Director" award went to the director of the performance "Thumbelina" by Kyiv Municipal Puppet Theatre Mykhailo Urytsky, the award for the integrity of the director’s conception and actor’s implementation went to the performance "Crooked duck" by Ternopil Regional Academic Actor and Puppet Theatre; the "Best Actress" and the "Best Actor" awards went to Olga Vodyuk and Mykola Karpenko, the cast and crew of the play "The Circus of Ivan Strong" by Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theatre was awarded for the creation of the first Transcarpathian musical with puppets; the Puppet Theater of the Slovak city ​​of Kosice received the award for the highest acting skills. In addition, the play "Sleeping Beauty" by Bulgarian State Puppet Theatre (Yambol) was awarded in the category "Audience Award", which was determined by the children jury of the festival.
