The Transcarpathian Local Lore Museum invites to the Open Door Day, which will be held on May 18 this year on the occasion of the International Day of Museums.
On Friday, May 17, the opening of the photo exhibition of the Slovak photographer Pavlo Kocis "Crafts of the Ancients of Time" will take place in the gallery of the Uzhgorod castle.
The program of the Open Door Day on May 18 includes presentations of new and interesting:
• display "Art and craft casting of Transcarpathia in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries";
• temporary exhibitions: a) "Fragments of the Gothic carving of St. George’s Castle Church in stone"; and b) art works by Oleksandr Tsanko "Forest fantasies."
Most of the original and interesting exhibits are displayed for the first time.
You will also be able to see the permanent exhibitions of the museum, to learn about the ancient history of the unique fort that has witnessed many historical events.
