"The truck ZIL was driven by a 36-year-old local resident. During the document check, the driver could not explain the origin of the timber. The man did not provide any documents for felling or transportation of the raw spruce wood. According to the police, the man cut down the spruce trees without permit in the "Banny" tract, between the settlements of the Soimy-Maidan of Mizhhirya district", – the spokeswoman told.
The police have launched an investigation into this fact. Information about the incident was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 246 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
