Transcarpathian landscapes are exhibited in the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Sunny landscapes, vibrant figurative art and graphic with folklore motives – an exhibition of Transcarpathian artist Yanosh Reyti opened in the premises of the Consulate General of Hungary in the city of Uzhgorod.  These days, the artist celebrates his 70th anniversary, so the exhibition is a jubilee. About ten works are presented: those are oil Transcarpathian landscapes, an extraordinary figurative art and curious mythological graphics with ink and pastels.

In general, the artist works in various techniques: in addition to the traditional oil, he does graphic art – watercolors, pastels, ink. At this exhibition, the author presented a sort of a cross section from the mid-1990s to the present day.

At the opening of the exhibition, the First Deputy General Consul Laszlo Kuti noted that Reyti is one of the most multifaceted regional artists, so only a small part of his enormous and interesting oeuvre is presented here.

The exhibition will run until March 25, 2019.
