Transcarpathian journalists won award at the fourth Film Festival in the city of Szatmárcseké in Hungary.
Films of TV crews from Hungary and beyond took part in the competition. 38 films were competing, the voting was held on a special site (tudositok.hu). 10 films, that received the most votes, reached the finals. The jury headed by the Hungarian director László Vitézy gave the first prize to the Transcarpathian crew: editor Geza Kovacs and cameraman Tamas Vass for their program "Coffee House under the Castle – Living History in Uzhgorod".
According to the author, journalist Geza Kovacs, his story is about the Uzhgorod coffee shop built into the castle hill. And the main highlight of the establishment is that there is a lot of rarities there: "from road signs with the names of streets to old furniture. And they are not just displayed there as exhibits, but you can touch and hold them."
The prize for the victory is 800 thousand forints (about 80 thousand hryvnias), the publication Karpatalja.ma informs.
