Yesterday, April 4, in the village of Chornoholova in Velyky Berezny district, an unknown young man, who, according to yet to be confirmed information, is related to MP Vasyl Kovacs, attacked a journalist of the "Stary Zamok" Larysa Romanyuk.

Public hearings on the construction of small hydropower plants in the village were to be held there.

At 5 o’clock, a car Toyota Land Cruiser drove up to the meeting building, and a young man – allegedly, the representative of investors – came out of it. People started talking that he was the son-in-law of the deputy, Party of Regions member Vasyl Kovacs.

The man approached the group of women and asked them to go see the facility. The women refused and said that they did not want any hydropower plants in the village. Then the man emotionally said that "if so, then do not", turned around and got into his car.

The journalist of the "Stary Zamok" Larysa Romanyuk was taking pictures of all that. It annoyed the representative of businessmen. He jumped out of his car and rushed to the correspondent demanding to give him the camera. When he was denied, he grabbed the camera strap and the journalist’s clothes and began to pull the woman. However residents of the village, seeing that, with indignant shouts began to surround the youngster from all sides. Then he ran away from the crowd, locked himself in the car and slowly drove away.

The journalist of the "Stary Zamok" is going to appeal to the police so that they find the person who attacked the reporter, and take the measures against him provided by the law. If you recognize the man in the photos, please contact the newspaper office or leave a comment on the site.
