At the session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the deputies supported the decision to increase expenditures for the Transcarpathian Folk Choir.
By the decision of the deputies, the financing for the choir was increased for now by 30%, – the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis informed. Moreover, these expenditures will be provided for in this year’s budget and not at the expense of any other art collectives. The choir artists will receive the increased salaries already in October-November.
According to Mykhailo Rivis, the funds for the increased financing of the choir were found in the "culture segment" of the regional budget – they are not going to equip the regional drama and comedy theater in Khust by the end of this year, so they reallocated the funds.
In the future, financing for the choir will be provided in the budget for 2018, and there are reasons to believe that it will finally cover the needs of the famous choir.
By the way, tomorrow, on Friday, September 22, the Transcarpathian Folk Choir will present a unique program in the Uzhgorod castle, the beginning is at 20.00.
