Transcarpathian Folk Choir took part in the memorial events for the Memorial Day in Budapest

On November 26, 2016, the memorial events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Holodomor in Ukraine took place in Budapest. The events were organized by the Society of Ukrainian Culture in Hungary together and the Embassy.
During the events, there was a memorial service for the innocent victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, as well as the laying of wreaths at the memorial to the victims of the Holodomor and lighting of candles.

The Head of the State Self-Government of Ukrainians in Hungary Yuriy Kravchenko and the spokesman of the Ukrainian community in the National Assembly of Hungary Yaroslava Khortyani spoke before the participants.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary Liubov Nepop in her speech drew attention, among other things, to the necessity to remember our history, including its tragic pages, because "without past, the man and the nation has no future."

The memorial event finished in the Center for Ukrainian Culture and Documentation of Budapest, with a requiem concert of soloists of the Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir. Informed by the Ukrajna Magyarországi Nagykövetsége
