The Transcarpathian Folk Choir is preparing an authentic present to the city on its 1125th anniversary. The atmosphere of the ancient cozy Uzhgorod in the early twentieth century will be recreated during the art-mob "A glance into the past."
According to the author of the idea and artistic director of the choir, Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk, the spirit of our city as it was more than a hundred years ago will be recreated with the help of appropriate clothing, melodies, songs and dances of that era.
The beginning of the two-hour event is on Saturday, September 15, at 17.00. Uzhgorod residents are invited to wear old clothes and take part in the recreation of Uzhgorod’s spirit of that time.
In addition to the Transcarpathian Folk Choir, in particular the orchestra, ballet and choir artists, professional actors of the Transcarpathian Regional Puppet Theater "Bavka", students of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts are invited to take part in the event. Models of the studio "A’Star", including children, will also take part in the event.
The organizers plan to create an appropriate photo zone against the background of the old Uzhgorod.
