Today, the Rescue Service "101" was reported about a fire in a bus "PAZ", which was carrying workers to the factory. The incident occurred on Karpatska street in the town of Volovets. At this time, there were about a dozen passengers in the bus who quickly ran out. The driver of the vehicle at first tried to extinguish the fire on his own using a fire extinguisher, and after a failed attempt called rescuers.
Firefighters of the 11th State Fire and Rescue Unit arived at the scene – 2 pieces of equipment and 7 personnel members were engaged. They found out that the bus was equipped with a gas installation, which could catch fire at any moment. Thus, the rescuers prevented gas leak and subsequent explosion. Then, the firefighters localized the fire and eliminated it. The flames damaged the cabin of the bus, the hood and the engine compartment of the vehicle.
The cause of the fire will be established by law enforcement authorities.
