Transcarpathian fencers won bronze medals at the Championship of Ukraine (PHOTOS)

On February 15-16, the foil fencing championship of Ukraine among junior girls took place in Mykolayiv. 

Today, the team of our girls managed to win the bronze medals for Transcarpathia. In the match for the bronze medals, Angelina Tsymbolynets, Nicoletta Korlat, Maria Kryvonos and Oleksandra Kovacs (coaches – Stepan Dyky, Serhiy Horetsky) defeated the team of Mykolayiv – 45:39. 

Kyiv team won gold medals, and the team CSK (Kyiv) won silver medals. 

"We are pleasantly surprised by the organization of the competition in Mykolaiv. This time, it was held in a completely new hall built at the initiative of Olympic champion Olga Kharlan, with the help of Mykolayiv Regional State Administration, which was opened by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Children are provided with modern equipment, there are many tracks and the room is bright. I would like the Transcarpathian school of fencing to provide the same conditions for our children. We are not completely satisfied with the results, but in general the tournament went well for us," – the head coach Serhiy Horetsky said.
