A meeting of the Working Group ‘Social Reforms and Improving of the Life’s Quality’ of the regional committee on economic reforms was held under the chairmanship of a deputy head of the region Ivan Kachur on Tuesday, June 26.
The system’s reforming on the emergency medical service provision was discussed at the meeting. We need to develop an effective network of ambulances so that Transcarpathians will be able to receive necessary assistance in time (ambulance in the countryside should come at place of a call in 20 minutes. In cities – within 10 min.).
– Last year we increased the financial base of region’s ambulance stations. We purchased 19 new ambulances and medical equipments for stations and offices. Therefore, now we have to use this material base very effectively, it is necessary to develop a scheme of the emergencies’ work so that they came in time on the call – said Ivan Kachur.
Another issue which was presented for consideration of the Working Group is the preschool education establishments’ network expansion. Nowadays the number of children who attend kindergartens increases. For example, 81% of Transcarpathian children 5-year old attend preschool education establishments and this figure is the highest in the Western region. However, such a situation leads to the overload of kindergartens. It is planned to create 12 HEE and open 10 preschool educational institutions by the end of 2012 – informs the press center of RSA.
