As of the beginning of the year, Transcarpathian dam builders are owned UAH 15.4 million for already built dams. This is 90% of total debt in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in recent months no design and construction works have been performed in the region. Under the law "On State Budget of Ukraine for 2015," Transcarpathia is to receive UAH 28.4 million for implementation of the flood protection program. Although, according to the approved state program, in 2015 the region was to receive UAH 172.5 million.
Recently, the regional authorities appealed to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources with the proposition to allocate Transcarpathia UAH 6.3 million, which will allow to complete two dams. Meanwhile, the region plans to allocate 5 million from local budgets for implementation of flood protection measures at the municipal facilities.
