Transcarpathian cyberpolice caught a scammer from Chynadiyevo

Transcarpathian cyberpolice found a 26-year-old Internet scammer from the village of Chynadiyevo, who had cheated a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk. The victim transferred the money for non-existent pots. The resident of Chynadiyevo has already been notified of being suspected, the investigation continues 

 

The woman told the police that she had found on Facebook the announcement of the sale of table pots at 1,150 UAH.  Contacting the seller and receiving the number of his card, she sent the appropriate amount to the bank account. After the woman had transferred the money, the scammer deleted his page. 

During the investigation, the police found out that the woman had been cheated by a 26-year-old resident of the village of Chynadiyevo in Mukachevo district. The police found out that the specified bank account was owned by a resident of Rivne, whom the Transcarpathian ordered sneakers from. 

The man has already been served the notice of being suspected of a fraud committed through illegal transactions using computer technology as provided under Part 3 of Art.190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man faces imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
