Transcarpathian customs officials seized 2,670 packs of cigarettes and a “FORD FOCUS” (PHOTOS)

Today, July 2, 2017, in the ​​customs control area of the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs office, an attempted smuggling of tobacco products from Ukraine was prevented. A citizen of Ukraine tried to carry cigarettes in a passenger car "FORD FOCUS".

The citizen chose the "green corridor" for customs clearance. Based on signs of presence of specially manufactured caches in the vehicle, it was decided to conduct an in-depth examination of the car.  Thus they found in the vehicle 2,670 packs of tobacco products "LIFA" and "COMPLIMENT" without excise stamps Ukraine hidden from customs control.

The found tobacco products were hidden in specially made recesses.

Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie using specially manufactured caches.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, the goods, that are direct objects of the violation of customs regulations – the tobacco products (the value is to be determined) and the vehicle worth almost 150,000 UAH – were seized until the court decision.
