Yesterday, a Mercedes-Benz made in 2011, driven by a citizen of Ukraine, arrived at the customs control zone for entry to Ukraine in the customs post "Uzhgorod" of the Transcarpathian Customs. The man was going from Germany to Ukraine on private affairs. He was accompanied by a female passenger, a citizen of Ukraine.
To import the car to Ukraine, the woman presented to the officers of the Transcarpathian Customs a registration certificate, an invoice, a customs declaration, and a letter from the customs authorities of Slovakia.
According to the submitted invoice, the price of the vehicle was 3,000 euros.
While reviewing the shipping documents submitted by the citizen for the customs control, customs officers questioned the authenticity of the documents submitted for customs control and clearance.
When asked by the customs inspector about the discrepancy between the number of the invoice submitted by the woman and the number of the invoice indicated in the letter of the customs authorities of Slovakia, the citizen presented the invoice and export declaration of the customs authorities of Germany. The price of the car, according to these documents, was 5,500 euros.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine, committed actions aimed to move the passenger car Mercedes-Benz across the customs border of Ukraine hidden from the customs control by submitting the documents containing false information about the sender, the recipient and the price of the vehicle.
These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations has been drawn up, the vehicle was seized.
