Transcarpathian customs officers seized a luxury car worth nearly one million hryvnia

At the customs post "Solotvyno" of the Transcarpathian customs office, an attempt to import into Ukraine an "Audi A4" with forged documents by a Hungarian national was prevented.

Thus, to move the car across the customs border of Ukraine, the foreigner submitted to the Transcarpathian customs office the certificate of registration and letter of authorization for the use of the vehicle with the right to leave abroad issued by a Serbian company.

In the course of customs control, the vehicle was taken out of the "green corridor" lane and sent to the "red corridor".

During the customs control, while checking the documents filed by the citizen, customs officers had doubts about the authenticity of the letter of authorization for the use of the vehicle. Therefore, to determine its authenticity, the Transcarpathian customs office sent a request to the head of the firm, which allegedly issued the letter. The official response confirmed the doubts of the customs officers and contained the information that the letter of authorization was fake.

Thus, the citizen of Hungary moved across the customs border "Audi A4" concealed from customs control by submitting to the customs authority a forged document, namely the letter of authorization for the use of the vehicle.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

The report of violation of customs regulations was made, the vehicle was seized.
