Customs officers at the Transcarpathian Customs found cigarettes hidden from customs control during an in-depth inspection of a car "BMW" with the Romanian registration at the customs post "Tisa". A citizen of Ukraine was traveling to Berlin with hidden 1223 packs of cigarettes "ROTHMANS" with excise stamps of Ukraine.
All these tobacco products were hidden in the constructive cavities of the car. Thus, the Ukrainian committed actions aimed at moving across the customs border of Ukraine tobacco products concealed from customs control, ie, using specially manufactured caches. These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Under the report of customs rules violation, the cigarettes worth more than UAH 33 thousand and the car worth more than UAH 153 thousand were seized.
