Yesterday, at the customs post of "Chop-Zaliznychny" of the Transcarpathian customs, inspectors together with border guards found 774 packs of cigarettes hidden in 8 cars of a freight train.
In the evening, a train with 33 cars arrived at the checkpoint "Chop-Zahony", 16 of them with a cargo of "minerals: dehydrated reuss", which was transiting from Russia to Serbia through Ukraine and Hungary, and 17 cars were without cargo.
Thus, during the customs and border control, inspectors carefully checked the beams under the cars, and found more than 70 cartons of tobacco products with the domestic excise stamp, hidden in 8 cars in hollow spaces.
Due to the absence of the owner of the hidden goods and the person involved in their illegal transportation across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, Transcarpathian customs officers drew up a relevant report and confiscated the hidden cigarettes.
