Transcarpathian coach works with the world-leading orienteering team

One of the leading Norwegian orienteering clubs KristiansandOrienteringsklubb (KOK) prolonged a contract with Ukrainian coach, 36-year-old Mukachevo citizen Vyacheslav Mukhidinov, for 2013. Last year’s invitation of Vyacheslav was the best Christmas present for our club, said the KOK manager Arne Byordet. – We are pleased with his work as a trainer of elite club team and the results that the team gained. This season, it was the fifth time in club’s history and first time for the last three years that the Kristiansand team has managed to win the most prestigious award in a 100-kilometer! relay race in the world – Tiomila (Tiomila), which are held in Sweden since 1945.

The team includes many world-class athletes such as Swiss world champion Daniel (5-times world champion and winner of the World Games) and Martin Hubmanny Baptist and Roller, Norwegians Holger Gott and Vehard Danielsen, champions of Denmark, Norway and the Czech Republic.

Another alumni of Mukachevo orienteering club Tovarysh got a well-deserved reward for success in coaching – 27-year-old Maria Semak, who lives and works of Denmark, where she coaches a group of talented young people according to the contract with the orienteering federation.

Note: Vyacheslav Muhidinov and Maria Semak are alumnus of Mukachevo Orienteering Club "Tovarysh." Vyacheslav participated in 5 World Championships and is one of the most successful Ukrainian orienteers: European medalist, 4x winner of the nationwide sports games, multiple champion of Ukraine and Hungary.

The highest achievement of Maria Semak’s athletic career is the title of world champion in classic distance and vice-champion in the sprint, which she won in 2000 at the World Cup among schoolchildren in Israel.
