Transcarpathian Center of the MoH can perform 100 PCR tests a day

As of today, two laboratory crews are working at the Transcarpathian Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health. The capacity of the lab is planned to be expanded. This was reported today at a briefing by the Acting Director of the Transcarpathian Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health Galina Sitnik.
“With two teams we can do 100 tests a day. We can work on Saturday-Sunday if needed. The test itself lasts for up to 7 hours. Therefore, we ask that you deliver samples in the morning, because it is a full day’s work. We are provided with test systems. We received from the Ministry of Health test systems for 1728 tests. Yesterday we additionally received 3100. That is we have enough for now. Any help is welcomed.
The laboratory staff must work in sterile protective gear. We have a shortage of respirators. We were given some means of personal protection when we received our first deliveries. But we are working on this.
The lack of respirators and hazmat suits are the primary concern,” – Galina Sitnik said.
