Transcarpathian centennial songs through the eyes of a Czech cameraman (VIDEO)

Songs, that are 100 to 200 years old, and no less authentic dances, as well as children’s games and traditional Easter fun. This is what the holiday in Uzhgorod castle – the first of kind – was like.

The holiday "Ancient songs in Uzhgorod castle" was organized by the Transcarpathian Folk Choir together with the staff of the Local Lore Museum, who prepared a really unique program.

The holiday finished, but the visitors of the event still remind about it.

The Choir Director Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk wrote on Facebook:

"Fragment of the program "Easter songs" of the Transcarpathian choir in Uzhgorod castle through the eyes of Czech cameraman Dragos Val.

Song culture of our land, its music folklore are little known and researched!

Let’s hear what our ancestors used to sing!"
