Transcarpathian Catholics are celebrating Easter (VIDEO)

April 12, 2020 is Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.
Easter is the main Christian holiday to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after he was crucified and died on the cross.
Yesterday at 10:00 pm, the Easter Vigil led by Pope Francis started in the the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, which was broadcast exclusively online. Today’s mass will also be broadcast live.
In Transcarpathia, most churches are also closed for parishioners, and online worship were broadcast on social networks and Youtube channels due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In 2020, authorities encouraged Ukrainians not to attend worship services, including Easter ones, but to watch them online because of the coronavirus pandemic. Quarantine restrictions allow up to 10 persons to take part in worship services and ban gatherings near temples and direct contact of believers with one another and with clergymen.
