Yesterday, as a result of joint and coordinated actions of border guards of Ukraine and Romania, an attempt of cigarette smuggling was prevented in Transcarpathia.
Soldiers of the department "Bohdan" of the Mukachevo Detachment, after receiving from the Romanian colleagues the information about the detention of one person and a car with two packages of tobacco products near the border, immediately left to the scene of the alleged offense. As a result of search operations, 300 meters from the border, border guards found two packages of tobacco products. The packages contained 930 packs of cigarettes "Marble" without excise stamps of Ukraine.
The cigarettes were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Bohdan" and subsequently will be handed over to officers of the SFS.
