Transcarpathian border guards found contraband cigarettes in a freight train

Last night, border guards of the department "Uzhgorod" prevented an attempt of cigarette smuggling at the railroad checkpoint "Pavlovo".

During the inspection of a freight train en route from Ukraine to Slovakia, the border guards found 2,500 packs of contraband cigarettes "Jin Ling". The tobacco products, wrapped in black polyethylene film, were hidden hide from border customs control in iron ore.

At present, measures to identify the persons involved in the smuggling activities are being taken and the value of the seized tobacco products is being determined, the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informs.
