Transcarpathian border guards found cigarettes left smugglers during an escape

Last night, border guards of the "Dilove" department of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt to smuggle tobacco products across the border.

       While patrolling the mountainous area of ​​the Ukrainian-Romanian border, around 1.00 am, border guards noticed unknown persons carrying packages wrapped in black plastic bags. Seeing the border guards, the offenders left the packages and ran away. The smugglers planned to illegally deliver to Romania almost 2,500 packs of tobacco products.  

          The border guards brought the cigarettes to the border guard unit and later will hand them over to the SFS officers. The search for the persons involved in this offense continues.
