Another place of storage of cigarettes was found in Transcarpathia today as a result of search operations conducted by units of the Western Regional Department, Mukachevo border guard detachment together with representatives of the SFS and the prosecutors of Transcarpathian region.
The tobacco products were found while checking the information received by intelligence units of the State Border Guard Service. In total, they found in the basement of a local resident of the village of Vylok about 100 boxes of tobacco products, which apparently were going to be smuggled across the border. Currently further verification measures are being conducted.
The preliminary cost of the identified tobacco products is about UAH 1.1 million.
It should be noted that yesterday, as a result of a joint special operation "Frontier-2017", border guards found a place of cigarette storage in Bukovina. It was arranged in a private house, where a citizen of Ukraine was keeping almost 20 boxes of cigarettes.
