Transcarpathian border guards detained an illegal migrant

A citizen of Turkey, who tried to avoid passport control, was detained yesterday by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment.

At the checkpoint "Luzhanka", border guards detected a 44-year-old foreigner who tried to cross the border illegally. The man walked past the passport control booth without presenting documents for examination. The offender was detained. During the filtration measures it was found out that it was not the first time the Turk had tried to illegally cross the border. In October 2018, border guards detained the foreigner when he was attempting to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Polish border outside the border crossing points.

The relevant report was drawn up against the Turkish citizen for an offense under Part 2 of Art. 204 of the CAO "Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border".

The foreigner’s further fate will be decided by the court.
