An illegal migrant was detained last night by border guards of the department "Hrushovo" of the Mukachevo detachment on the outskirts of the village of Teresva.
Border guards spotted a stranger while patrolling the river section of the Ukrainian-Romanian border. In order to illegally get to neighboring Romania, the man was going to cross the Tisa River. The violator did not have any documents with him. He told border guards that he was a citizen of Afghanistan, and this information is currently being verified.
The illegal traveler was detained by the border guards. The man was taken to the border guard unit to draw up a report on an administrative offense and carry out filtration measures.
The court will provide a legal assessment of the foreigner’s actions.
