Transcarpathian authorities supported the demands of the foresters

As we reported, today, the foresters were rallying near the Transcarpathian Regional Council building. They protested against the Government’s proposed reform of the industry, which they consider to be unacceptable, as it will change the "rules of the game" in the forestry sector.

Moskal spoke to the participants of the protest. In particular, he stressed that the local authorities are united with foresters against the attempts to give the Carpathians into private ownership.

The demands of the foresters were also supported by the Regional Council, which at its meeting decided to send a corresponding appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
