The aircraft modelling club in Vynogradiv has been operating only for a year and a half, but they have already achieved great success. The only problem is lack of space for flight training of small but bullet-quick planes.
The leader of the "Model aircraft sport" club, which operates at the district center of extracurricular work with children, Stepan Tihor himself as a child was interested in this sport. With his students he has taken part in the championship of Transcarpathian region – has won prizes not only there, but also in the championship of Ukraine and the championship of Eurasia. He maintains relations with Kyiv, speaks and consults on Skype with the honored master of sports, world champion, seven-time World Cup winner Stanislav Chorny.
Teaching a student to "fly" takes about six months and 8-10 aircraft models, as well as a good mechanic. An airplane seems, at first glance, easy, but it has a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour and is difficult to control. They fly in the sky so fast that it is difficult even to follow them.
An eighth grader Richard Madi took the second place in the Championship of Ukraine. The boy was awarded with a free ticket to "Artek", but Richie refused for participation in the International Cup in Kharkiv.
Three-time world aircraft modelling champion in the category of "Dogfight" Oleksandr Pokorsky from Mukachevo regularly comes to our city for joint training with the Vinogradiv team.
High speed airplanes also make a lot of noise, so Vinogradiv aeromodeller have some problems. Originally they trained at the local stadium "Plastic" – they were asked to leave by athletes, then they trained at the Tisa – but the farmers complained. Now, it seems they have found a location.
Also, Vynogradiv aeromodellers plan to hold competitions in our city …
