Transcarpathians wearing folk or even "vertep" clothes sing carols at the "Carols in the old village" festival. They carry along versatile musical instruments and sing in the languages of the region caroling festively and generously.
The best folk collectives of the region have gathered in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture, Art and Life. Both children and adult groups visited the museum.
They welcome visitors in the exhibit houses that represent the folk architecture and life of the districts. The collectives try to impress their guests with carols, performances and hospitality.
It is a picturesque festival. It contains the national traits of the Transcarpathian Hungarians and Romanians, the representatives of the low-lying areas and of the hill people.
