Transcarpathia joined the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus

On May 23, in the central city library for children, the series of events on the occasion of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus was launched.

Father Victor told the library users about the history of the introduction of Christianity, and librarians prepared the screening of videos about ancient religion of the Slavs – paganism, about the Prince Volodymyr and the Baptism of Rus.

Visitors at the event were able to view the book exhibition "Christianity – History and Modernity" and during the slide presentation "The majestic temples of Ukraine" to see the famous temples of Ukraine, in particular, St. Sophia’s Cathedral, Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral.
