Showers have made themselves felt in the flood-hazardous region. The rains, that have been lasting for two days now, led to the rise of water levels in rivers in mountainous areas.
In Rakhiv district, mud stream slid on the road – the roadbed is destroyed, the traffic is blocked. Landslides occurred near the village of Bilyn. Vehicles can get only to the village of Bogdan.
But, the element did not stop there.
Now, Tyachiv district is suffering – the Tereblya is overflowing its banks.
In Mizhhirya district, several households were flooded. Khust was also affected – apparently storm water drain failed.
The Transcarpathian Regional State Administration assure that rescuers with special equoment and representatives of the authorities are working in hazardous locations.
Meanwhile Kobyletska Polyana in Rakhiv district was disconnected from electrical power grid because of the flooding of the power station.
