The efforts for preparation for the next heating season in the districts and cities of Transcarpathia should be enhanced to reach the target, which as of July should be 40 percent. This was stressed by the Deputy Governor Viktor Mikulin during the conference call with the heads of districts and cities of the region on the state of preparation of housing and communal services for the winter.
According to the Director of Housing, Construction and Infrastructure Department of the Transcarpathian RSA Eduard Malyar, targets have been reached in Beregovo, Vynogradiv, Velyky Berezny, Volovets, Rakhiv, Svalyava, Tyachiv and Uzhgorod districts and in the cities of Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Khust and Chop. In Irshava, Mizhhirya, Perechyn, Khust districts and in the city of Beregovo, the work in this area should be enhanced.
Currently, experts of the State Energy Inspectorate are inspecting the preparedness of heating facilities for work in the heating season and making relevant reports. They have inspected more than seventy boiler rooms in Uzhgorod, Volovets, Irshava, Tyachiv districts and in the city of Khust.
The total debt for the consumed natural gas in the region is UAH 1.5 billion. This was informed by the head of the "Zakarpathazzbut" LLC Victoria Tomynets. However, as evidenced by previous experience, in summer most people try to pay off the debts accumulated during the heating season.
Following the meeting, V. Mikulin emphasized on the need to carry out inspections of residential buildings and social facilities for readiness for the heating season.
