Transcarpathia is 2nd in Ukraine in terms of the number of people who have suffered from measles, the Mukachevo.net informs citing the Ministry of Health.
This data was made public by the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health, which informed that from June 12 to 19, 1401 people in Ukraine – 560 adults and 841 children – became ill.
According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Health, the highest number of people suffering from measles is in Lviv region – 3428 people. It is followed by Transcarpathia – 2633 people, including 475 adults and 2158 children. Then by Ivano-Frankivsk region – 2422 people.
As previously reported by our site, recently the measles outbreak occurred in the village of Chorna Tysa in Rakhiv district.
Doctors urge people to take all necessary vaccinations and immunizations which are free.
