Transcarpathia has the largest number of schools with outhouses in Ukraine

Currently, there are 680 schools with cold toilets outside in Ukraine, most of such schools are in Transcarpathian region.

According to the Censor.NET with reference to the Hromadske TV this was stated by the Minister of Education Lilia Grinevich at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 27.

Grinevich said that such toilets are "a disgrace", which must be completely eliminated.

She noted that it is planned to spend UAH 267 million to solve this problem – "if local self-governments contribute, we will be able to solve this issue."

"Children must have their basic needs satisfied," – Grinevich said.

After that, the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman noted that the Ministry of Regional Development should help with this issue – "I do not understand why this could not have been done earlier."
