Transcarpathia has one of the largest number of secondary school graduates, who become students of higher education establishments of the III-IV accreditation level. This is evidenced by data from the State Statistics Service (see the table below).
– While on average in Ukraine, in 2017, 54.2 percent of school graduates became university students, in Transcarpathia this figure is 60.8 percent, – Hennadiy Moskal says. – The top five regions in Ukraine in 2017 are as follows: Vinnytsia region (63.1%), Lviv region (62.7%), Chernihiv region (62.5%), Chernivtsi region (62.3%), and Transcarpathia (60.8%). In 2016, the figures were similar with slight variation. Thus, the multinational Transcarpathia in terms of the number of "smart children" is significantly ahead of Kyiv and many other advanced regions, where Ukrainians make up more than 90 percent of the national population. And the statistics do not even take into account those Transcarpathian graduates who have become students of higher education establishments in the neighboring countries of the European Union. And there are a lot of them too. The figures recorded by statistics are the best answer to all the accusations that students in our region have bad results at the EIT.
