Transcarpathia can attract investment from the EU to fight tuberculosis

The next year, the region may receive a grant of $ 5 million to fight tuberculosis.

 Transcarpathia has submitted an application and prepared a draft program for cross-border cooperation "Ukraine-Poland-Belarus" of the European Neighborhood Instrument in 2014-2020, – the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko reported during the meeting with employees of the regional territorial medical association "Phthisiology". The project concerns the development of TB hospital network in the region, the purchase of equipment for these establishments. Volodymyr Chubirko noted that the EU partners are eager to invest in the project, because it aims to reduce the risk of TB epidemiology in the border regions.
