Transcarpathia at the beginning of the last century (PHOTOS)

German photographer Hans Hildenbrand is famous for his colorful pictures taken during the World War II. Between the world wars, he worked for the National Geographic. In particular, in 1927, he visited the Czechoslovak Republic, and his lens captured residents of Transcarpathia.

The first photo depicts the market in Mukachevo. The second picture is assumed to be taken in Rakhiv.
