Train route “Mukachevo-Kosice” will be extended to Prague

The joint stock company "Ukrzaliznytsya" this year will launch a new train to the Slovak city of Kosice, with the further extension of this route to Prague.

This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan, the Ukr.Media informs.

We have more than twenty routes to the countries of the European Union. We want to develop this network, – he said.

The minister said that he and the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman had recently visited Slovakia for a few days, where they discussed the launch of the new train to Kosice and its extension to Prague.

This will be done this year, – Omelyan said.

Recall that the "Ukrzaliznytsya" and its Slovak colleagues are testing the new train Mukachevo – Kosice, which will be launched already in the coming months.

As it was reported, in 2019, the Ukrzaliznytsya plans to build 395.6 km of seamless railroads, which will ensure more comfortable train movement and reduce the noise, as well as increase the service life of roads and wheels of the rolling stock.
