Yesterday, July 21, at 23:57, law enforcement officers received from a hospital a report that a 17-year-old boy had received injuries incompatible with life as a result of an accident. This was reported by the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian regional police.
Police officers found out that the accident had happened in the village of Badiv in Beregovo district.
"As a result of the accident, a 17-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car Volkswagen driven by a 24-year-old resident of the village of Badiv. The young man died from the injuries," – the report said.
At the same time, law enforcement officers informed that the driver’s test for alcohol intoxication showed a result of 1.9 ppm. The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
The investigation continues.
