Townspeople will be shown the Christmas Uzhgorod (Announcement)

On Sunday, December 7, there will be a traditional open tour "The Christmas Uzhgorod."

Christmas and New Year period in Transcarpathia is special. It is the period when Transcarpathians celebrate for nearly six weeks, and it begins with Advent.

During the festive period, we celebrate twice: St. Nicholas Day (Catholic, Orthodox), Christmas, New Year and Old New Year.

Transcarpathia is a multicultural land where in every district densely populated by certain ethnic groups, there are particular customs, traditions, and when moving to live in Uzhgorod, they often retain them.

Every holiday is interesting and peculiar.  On December 7, at the next open tour, we will hear how process of preparation and the celebration takes place!

The meeting of tourists is traditionally on Sunday, December 7, at 14:00, near the monument to St. Nicholas’s helper.

Admission is free! Media partner of the project – "Tourinform Transcarpathia."
