Tourists lost in the mountains at Easter

The first message, informing that in the vicinity of Mount Stig of Rakhiv district snowboarders were lost due to the poor visibility conditions, was received by the Transcarpathian rescuers on April 14 at 4 p.m. – reports Ministry of Emergencies in Transcarpathian region. The group of tourists were staying in a local hotel and enjoyed riding on snowboards.

Professionals of the mountains rescue units of Yaspinskyy and Rakhivskyy districts set off in search of six Kyiv citizens. Rescuers found the tourists at 7 p.m.

And on April 15 at 11.30 a.m. near the mountain Velykyy Kotel in Rakhivskyy district too, three tourists from Uzhgorod and two from the city Rivne got lost. They were found at 4.45 p.m. and sent to the village Yasinya. Searching works were carried out by the rescuers of Mountain Search Rescuing Unit in Yasinya.

In both cases, the tourists were safe and sound so they did not need any medical assistance.
