On March 24, at 16.00, in the "Uzhgorod" gallery, there will be the official opening of the exhibition of the People’s Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Skakandiy. Viewers will be able to see a retrospective selection of several dozen of painting, graphics and watercolor works. The exhibition is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the author which was celebrated on March 4.
Another artist, though a literary one, celebrated his 65th anniversary recently. The famous poet Vasyl Husti was born on March 21 – by an amazing coincidence, this day in 1999 was elected by the UNESCO as the World Poetry Day. The top representative of the Transcarpathian literature will receive congratulations at the recital "Royal word of the poet" that will take place tomorrow at 17.00 in the reading room of the Regional Universal Scientific Library.
