On June 30, in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there will be a repeated public presentation of the projects for the open contest for the best design of the monument to the victims of 1932-1933 Holodomor.
Recall that professional sculptors were able to submit their projects for the future monument to be establshed in front of the Medical Faculty of Uzhgorod National University (Narodna Sq., 2) within nearly six weeks of the announcement of the contest and its terms in regional media. As of May 15, the Department of Culture of the RSA received entries from four authors.
On May 25, the contestants’ projects were presented in the atrium. Having reviewed the projects, the competent jury expressed their opinions, comments and suggestions and decided to give authors a month for revision.
And tomorrow, the works will be presented again. The review of the projects starts at 11.00, followed by discussion and announcement of the winner. The contest results will be announced at 12.00 at a briefing in the press center of the RSA, the Department of Culture of the RSA informed.
