On December 1, at 15.00, in the main library of the region (Svoboda Ave., 16), there will be the campaign "Human Rights: A modern vision" in the format of "human library" within the XIII Travelling International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights "Docudays."
The purpose of the event is to promote better understanding and awareness of the fact that people are different, to help people get answers to questions that can not be found in conventional books.
Everyone can participate and communicate with a "human book". The event will be attended by "books", in respect of which there is a public interest or prejudice: a participant of the ATO, a social activist, a journalist, a poet, a lawyer, a human rights activist, a member of the City Council and others.
The peculiarity of this event is that all the preparation, organization and holding of "human library" was carried out by students of Uzhgorod high schools.
The organizers are the Department of Education of Uzhgorod City Council, NGO "Vested", NGO "Youth Self-Government "Insider", Student self-government of the city "Korzo" and Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library.
The admission is free. All guests will be treated with hot coffee and sweet cakes.
