According to the Public convention of the Uzhgorod Euromaidan, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8, at 13.30, there will be a rally in front of the building of the Transcarpathian regional police on Rakoczy street.
The community will be demanding the resignation of Serhiy Sharanych – the current head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region, on whom there is a negative conclusion of the Lustration committee of Transcarpathia.
The Committee concluded that that person can not hold such a position, because he has been tainted by scandals in the past and worked on a managerial position during the criminal regime of Yanukovych.
This they will announce to Serhiy Sharanych suggesting him to resign. And the next suggestion is to announce an open competition for the post of the head of the Transcarpathian police, during which the public would nominate professional and, most importantly, honest people with open biographies of applicants.
Such an initiative is already in place, for example, in Lviv region.
