The I D.Zador Piano Competition, which solemnly started yesterday, continues.
Today, March 24, the highlight of the competition will be the performance of the jury member Balazs Sokolay organized with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod.
The well-known pianist was born in 1961 in Budapest in a family of musicians. He began learning to play the piano at the age of five.
Balazs Sokolay is a member of jury of the largest music competitions in the Netherlands, Italy, Bulgaria and Russia. He gives concerts and master classes in more than 30 countries. His repertoire covers a wide range of styles with an emphasis on chamber music.
The concert of works by Franz Schubert performed by Balazs Sokolay in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Hall will begin at 18.30.
Entrance to all events of the competition is free.
