Today, September 17, a huge musical event took place in Uzhgorod – shooting of the popular TV program "Karaoke on the Square" with Igor Kondratyuk. Hours before the beginning of the show, Teatralna Square was already so crowded that it was difficult to get through to the stage!
Rain did not stopped fans of singing, bright umbrellas added color to the crowded square. Hundreds of Transcarpathians wanted to take part and sing to the whole country, but only four were lucky to participate in one show.
Igor Kondratiuk called Uzhgorod the most western gate of Ukraine and said that the "Karaoke on the Square" team had come to the regional center of Transcarpathia on the invitation of the City Council.
To give more Uzhgorod citizens chance to show their vocal talents, they recorded two shows at once. The winner of the first one was congratulated by the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv and received a prize. This, the first of the programs recorded today, will be shown on TV next Sunday – on the Day of Uzhgorod, – the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs
